Celebrating a milestone together
Education is one of the clearest paths out of the cycle of poverty and loss that brought so many of our children to us. That's why schooling — from nursery right through primary level — sits at the center of everything we do at Hope for AIDS Orphans.
Each school day gives a child something the AIDS epidemic tried to take from them: a future. Books, uniforms, pencils, and a qualified teacher standing at the front of the room are small things individually, but together they change the entire trajectory of a child's life.
Classroom time builds a future
We've watched children arrive unable to hold a pencil confidently, and later stand proudly at a graduation ceremony, diploma in hand. Moments like these are why we keep going, and why we're committed to expanding what our school campus can offer as our new building grows.
